Do you want to lead a workshop session as part of this weekend? Workshops at PMN are led by participants in the gathering. We invite you to get involved in shaping the weekend by putting forth your ideas. One way you can do this is by proposing a workshop topic or propose a full workshop for the Gathering.
We’re looking for workshops that help us achieve these goals:
Sustain diverse traditions of using music for progressive social change.
Help artists develop skills in musicality, songwriting, and/or music promotion.
Help activists and artists to effectively integrate music into social justice struggles.
Provide a space for attendees to share and enjoy socially and politically poignant music.
If you don’t feel inclined to lead a workshop yourself, you can still suggest a topic that you’d like to see included in this year’s program by contacting PMN WG Workshop Organizer: Ben Grosscup (ben.grosscup@peoplesmusic.org) with the subject line “SUGGESTION-2018_PMN_SG_Workshop”. Please describe your idea for the topic and feel free to suggest possible workshop leaders we can reach out to, if you have them.
