New York City Chapter

A PMN FUNDRAISING EVENT !!!

CHANGE OF ARTIST FOR PMN FUNDRAISER

We just learned that Joanie Calem has a family emergency and needs to cancel her plans to come to New York City this weekend. She is therefore unable to perform at the Peoples’ Voice Cafe on Saturday, May 16th. Joel Landy, and longtime PMN activist and PVC performer, has agreed to pinch hit for Joanie.

Joel Landy

Known for his energetic stage performances, witty parodies and insightful lyrics, Joel Landy is the host of Songs of Freedom Television, an award winning cable program celebrating the dignity of human struggle. Joel is also a Peoples' Voice Cafe volunteer producer and a fan favorite. A retired high school teacher who is active in the local NYC chapter of People’s Music Network, Joel continues to get into good trouble organizing and appearing at rallies and demonstrations in addition to playing at coffeehouses and clubs. The two of us will, of course, be at the Peoples’ Voice Cafe on May 16th as originally planned. We hope that many of  you will attend, in-person or on-line.

In solidarity and song,

Greetings, friends and allies!

I am reaching out to commend you for the resistance work you are doing through music and to ask that you put our organization, the People's Music Network, on your mailing lists.

We have some members who live in the vicinity of your location, and we would like to help keep our members connected with and aware of your work.  There appears to be plenty of cause and opportunity to be mutually supportive.

All the best this weekend as we welcome Women's History Month.  I look forward to building collaborative relationships moving forward.

Peace!
