The New York City Chapter of the People's Music Network will host PMN-NYC Mid-Summer Convergence, an in-person gathering of musicians and activists on the weekend of July 19-20, 2024 at the Henry Winston Unity Hall on W 23rd Street in NYC.  (See Directions below).    The program is an outgrowth  and celebration of the energy and enthusiasm that have been developing during regular First Friday gatherings of the NYC Local Chapter of PMN. 

The event begins Friday, July 19, with a Hybrid Virtual Round Robin, open to PMN members anywhere in the world or in person in NYC (Note: to perform in the Virtual Round Robin requires filling out the Registration form, which is separate from the weekend registration form). People participating remotely via Zoom may join some of the workshops taking place in NYC. 

On Saturday, July 20, we'll have a full day of workshops and a  collaborative concert in the evening. Workshops include Song Leading, Hip Hop, the Legacy of Pete Seeger, and Songwriting.  In addition there will be time to jam, schmooze and socialize.  (See the Schedule below)

This is a great chance for the beloved community of PMN -- both within NYC and beyond -- to gather, to sing, to share skills and musical traditions, and to continue building a community of artists who are dedicated to using their craft in service of the peace and justice movements we're part of.

When you register for the PMN-NYC Mid-Summer Convergence as "IN PERSON", you receive Friday Dinner, Saturday lunch and Saturday Dinner.

DIRECTIONS

The Convergence takes place in Manhattan at Henry Winston Unity Hall (HWUH), -- 7th Floor, 235 West 23rd Street, New York, NY (Between 7th & 8th Ave.)

Masks are not mandatory, but we encourage participants to wear them at their own comfort level.  We will provide masks to those wanting them.  We ask that people stay at home if they feel sick or if they had flu-like symptoms within five days of the event.  Full refunds are available due to sickness.
