PMN Registration Policies:

PMN aims to keep gatherings accessible to all while sustaining the organization financially.

PLEASE REGISTER AHEAD OF TIME for the PMN Winter Convergence in NYC (January 24-26, 2020), if at all possible.  This gives us accurate meal counts, information to facilitate home stays and ride sharing, and supports overall planning.  It also makes check in at the registration desk very simple.  Payment at the time of registration is preferable.  However, you may also pre-register online while creating an invoice to be paid in person when you arrive at registration (Check or cash).

DISCOUNTS AND FINANCIAL AID:

• Membership Discount: PMN members receive a $5 discount for each of the 3 days of the gathering they are registered.

• Early-bird Discount: Adult full weekend registrations received by Wednesday, January 9, 2020 at 11:59 PM, receive a $10 discount.
• Financial Aid: We don’t turn anyone away for lack of funds. If you can’t afford to pay at least the low-income rate, please contact <pmn@peoplesmusic.org> to request a cost reduction and please state what you can afford. PMN incurs an estimated direct cost of $90 per person for the Gathering, not including indirect costs for ongoing operations.
• The Matt Jones Scholarship Fund: This Fund fosters a multi-racial and inter-generational artistic and political community at PMN by providing registration and partial travel stipends to young people and people of color. Click here for more info.

LOGISTICS:

• Home Stays: Home stays may be requested through the registration process. We can guarantee a home stay match in New York City for people who register by January 10, 2020.  Housing requests after that are provided on first-come basis. Housing assignments are announced by January 21, 2020. For housing related inquiries, contact housing coordinator, Christine Glave at <housing@peoplesmusic.org>.
• Ride Sharing: If you’re interested in ride-sharing, please check the box on the registration form for ride sharing opportunities under “Transportation”, or contact the Ride Sharing Coordinator, Ben Grosscup, ben.grosscup@peoplesmusic.org, 413-658-5374. We will try to help you find others nearby you who may be willing to carpool with you.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

• Cancellations by January 12, 2020 will be fully refunded. After Jan 13, PMN will subtract $65 to cover food costs.
• Donating to the PMN Scholarship Fund helps keep PMN accessible. Thank you!
• Work Shifts: The cost of the weekend is low because we share the workload! Please sign up for two one-hour work shifts when you arrive.
