Friday, November 5, 7:00 - 8:30 PM (ET)

On Friday November 5, 2021 at 7:00 pm (ET) we will honor Martin Foster Swinger (February 22, 1955 - July 5, 2021) the singer, songwriter, teacher, and loving soul that he was!  Martin celebrated the human spirit, the natural world, and the arc of justice through his own original, exquisitely crafted, and artfully executed songs as well as unifying standards and sing-alongs.  He empowered us to reach for our personal and musical best.

Martin belonged to numerous musical communities, including the People's Music Network, which is hosting this event.  All are welcome, including Martin’s musical colleagues, followers, family members, friends, and those discovering him for the first time.

Please feel free to arrive 10 minutes early to enjoy slides of Martin. The formal program will start at 7:00 pm (ET). It will be shared on Zoom and will also be livestreamed on Youtube and Facebook.

From 7:00 - 8:30 PM (ET), we will hear from a sampling of songs by PMN members and others who will share songs, poetry, and tributes.  (See the schedule below).  After the formal program, those joining us on Zoom will be invited to share personal remembrances or other creative gifts. Just plain listening will also be fine. This portion of the evening will be facilitated semi-informally.  It will take place in a large group or in break out rooms, depending upon how many people choose to stay with us.  If you know in advance you want to share something, please contact Dave Gott at davegott13@gmailcom or 413-773-3568.
