WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: Singing for Fun is both a forum for individuals to learn more about their own voice, and a way to build community through songs of power, healing, and hope. Since last March, I've been experimenting with online singing, and though it is very different from live and in person, we are discovering ways to make it fun, engaging, and satisfying. Songs are integrated with elements of Qigong and Body Music, to create a holistic experience of vocal and physical discovery. PRESENTER Elise Witt: Her concerts ofGlobal, Local & Homemade Songs™and her Impromptu Glorious Chorus™ workshops create and connect singing communities around the world. Born in Switzerland, raised in NC, and living in Atlanta since 1977, Elise speaks five languages and sings in a dozen more. TheElise Witt Choral Series features choral arrangements of her original compositions and All Singing, a songbook with 58 original songs including music notation, lyrics and chords, stories and photos is in the works! In addition to her global touring, Elise serves as Director of Music Programs at theGlobal Village Project, a school for teenage refugee girls in Decatur Georgia.
