Brief Bio
Hi, I'm Barbara, I love life, create songs and instrumentals, and work for social justice for all. In addition to my voice, my keyboard is also my voice; play solo, accompany myself, and also love collaborating with and enhancing other musicians. I also value improvisations including for performance. I play in just about every style, including blues (acoustic and electric), Latin, jazz, classical, either driving or gentle, etc. I also play "trad" music from Quebec, Ireland etc. for contra dances and concerts, alone and with daughter Nadine (flute/foot-percussion). I value music with "heart" rather than defining it by genre, and value empathy with people I sing with and for. And yes, I value bringing both social message and happiness. Other loves are gardening, photography, hiking, discussions, swimming, traveling (including solo) and interacting wherever I am.... learning from whomever I am with.
