The People's Music Network plans to bring back our Summer Gathering next year! Our tentative dates are May 26-28, 2023. Our tentative location is Camp Grotonwood in Groton, MA. This Gathering will be a major reunion of activists and artists, old friends, and new friends, focused on the music and friendship we create together in person.
This camp is new to most of us. On Friday, November 18 at 1:00pm (ET), we have a team visiting the camp in person (Joanne Tuller, Rebecca Pomerantz, Phil Saines, and Ben Grosscup). We'll be evaluating how well the camp meets our needs and how best we can use the space. We'll also be speaking with the camp staff about ways PMN can use the facility for our gathering. We're going to have a cell phone connected to the Zoom meeting that will send a video stream of the physical camp as we walk around, while also trying to share the audio of the conversation we're having about plans for the gathering.
PMN members will have a chance to ask questions during the tour. Register for this if you just want to learn about our plans for the Summer Gathering and about the camp, but this virtual site visit is also a chance to get involved in the planning process.
For a high definition visual preview, Camp Grotonwood has a promotional video on their YouTube Channel detailing the facilities at the camp.
