Logistics

  • Food: Vegetarian, vegan, and omnivorous meals are included in the registration price, and are served from Friday Dinner to Sunday Lunch in the cafeteria.
  • Request Housing: PMN will do its best to pair out-of-town guests with willing hosts in and nearby Greenfield, MA. Mark your interest in providing or receiving housing on the registration form. Register by January 9, 2015 to guarantee a home stay match. Home stay requests after that are provided on first-come basis. Housing assignments are announced January 20, 2015. Please bring bedding/ sleeping bags and pillows. Count on a welcoming community-oriented feel to the whole weekend! For questions on housing, contact housing@peoplesmusic.org.
  • Offer Housing: Please read our letter of request for housing in and nearby Greenfield for the nights of January 23, 2015 and January 24, 2015.
  • Hotels in Greenfield: You can also browse some hotels in the Greenfield area.
  • Work Shifts: The cost of the weekend is low because we share the workload! You will sign up for one one-hour work shift when you arrive.
  • Financial Aid: We aim to turn no one away for lack of funds. If you cannot afford to pay at least the low-income rate, contact Marilyn Suffet (marilyn@stevesuffet.com 718-786-1533) no later than January 8, 2015 to make alternative financial arrangements. The direct cost to PMN for the Winter Gathering is $90 per person. If you can afford it, please help us keep PMN open and accessible to all, by contributing to the Scholarship Fund.
  • Childcare: Childcare is provided at no cost as part of registration. In order to plan for their care and activities, children must be registered by January 16, 2015. Please do not show up with unregistered children. When you are using childcare, make sure to sign your child in and out. Parents must serve at least one work shift in the childcare area. To ensure the safety of all, children under the age of 13 years are required to be supervised at all times, either with their parent(s) or enrolled in the childcare that is provided by PMN. We want every child to have a positive and enjoyable experience at the PMN gathering.
  • Cancellations: If you cancel by January 10, 2015, your fee will be fully refunded. Afterwards, PMN will subtract $60 from refunds.
  • What to Bring: Anything musical: instruments, voices, audio recorders, recordings, songbooks to swap or sell.
  • What not to Bring: pets, alcohol, or illegal substances.
  • Chemical sensitivities: Be aware of folks affected by perfumes or strongly scented toiletries and please refrain from bringing or wearing them.
  • Accessibility: This Middle School is wheelchair accessible. There are ramps into the building and an elevator inside. There are also accessible bathrooms in the building.
